Unlike a garden centre, most of our stock is grown on the site by our professional staff and as a result our stock really is nursery fresh so you can be sure the plants you buy are vibrant and dynamic.

The economics of plant production have resulted in the free trade of plants across Europe and beyond. This affects you in all sorts of ways. A huge amount of carbon is released during this movement, not to mention many other fumes or the contribution to traffic congestion by lorries.
Then there are the other issues of suitability for your garden. There is no doubt that some freshly imported plants have a struggle to adapt to the climate in your garden, after all, there is a huge difference between the climate of southern Italy or a Dutch glasshouse and an English Garden.

At The Pershore Plant Emporium we try to do everything in house, but where we have to buy young plants to grow on, they come from local nurseries and we always use peat-reduced composts where possible.
If we have to buy foreign plants for economic reasons (i.e. we simply cannot buy them in the UK) they are always acclimatised for weeks or even months before onward sale and your garden.
This care probably explains why customers constantly tell us how impressed they are with our quality and this, combined with our exceptional value, probably explains why our nursery has developed such a good reputation in such a short time.
